High Adventure & Educational Groups

We have spent nearly four decades establishing a quality reputation with a diverse range of camp groups, scout troops, educational groups, schools, and nonprofit institutions.

Through these relationships, we have learned that each group has its own unique needs, focuses, schedule, and financial needs. We welcome these differences with open arms and would love to have the opportunity to custom design a program that incorporates your goals.

Our goal is to effectively teach your group kayaking and camping skills by focusing on supporting both individual and group efforts. We will build teamwork, leadership, and communication skills while paddling. We are here to meet your goals while promoting our philosophy of “learning by doing”.

Most courses can be designed to be universally accessible. Trips can be tailored for those who have little or no experience kayaking and camping to those who are highly experienced in these settings and are looking to further their technical paddling abilities and/or wilderness skills.

Your customized trip could consist of one half-day excursion, a day trip to the mainland sea caves, a combination of day trips with mainland camping, or up to 6 days/5 nights on a multi-day overnight kayak camping adventure.
Browse our “Guided Overnights” section to learn more about our overnight options.

BOOKING A PROGRAM
You may book anytime to schedule your summer dates and contract our services! Booking early with a 50% deposit by January 31 offers the best dates and group-site options.
We have the ability to obtain the best group campsites through National Park Service Lottery System that happens in March. We can also book group sites anytime after the lottery, though selections may be greatly limited. Book early for the opportunity to get the best sites!
Please remember that your group must have a minimum of 8 participants, with one contact person. The contact person must coordinate with participants and disseminates all necessary information to participants and the parents of minor participants.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
DEPOSITS:
A signed contract and 50% down payment of total trip cost is due at the time of reservation.
The 50% balance is due 45 days prior to trip departure date.
We reserve the right to cancel the trip or add a penalty of 15% of the trip price to the remaining balance if full payments are not made on time. In such cases, the deposit is non-refundable.
All discounts are rescinded on overdue invoices.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellations made at least 45 days prior to departure will receive a refund minus 15% of total trip cost.
Cancellations made less than 45 days prior to departure or “no-shows” will receive no refund or credit.
Trips are sold as packages and credits are not given for services not used.
CAMPSITE REGULATIONS:
If you use an outfitting service, you are not eligible to obtain your own permit. We will obtain the permit through the NPS lottery process. To keep things fair, we choose permits in the order that we receive them. If you book after the preseason deadline, there is a chance that group sites could be fully booked on the islands. If this is the case and only mainland/private camping is available, your group will be responsible for reserving a campsite.
NPS group site maximum is 18 participants and 3 guides (21 total). If your group is larger than that, you will be split.
NPS individual sites will allow up to 6 participants and 1 guide. If more than that, a group site will be needed.
